No. 39 (tenth-seeded) Syracuse tennis (11-9) begins ACC Championship play against No. 20 (seventh-seeded) Georgia Tech (13-8) on Thursday. First serve is slated for 12:30 p.m. in Cary, N.C.

The Yellow Jackets stung the Orange last month, handing SU a 6-1 defeat. Syracuse is 3-9 all-time against Georgia Tech and the series dates back to 2013. The last Syracuse triumph over GT came in 2021, when the Orange knocked then ranked #11 Georgia Tech, 4-3, at home.

In ACC Championship play, the Orange are 3-8, with the most recent win occurring in 2019 against Georgia Tech. The 'Cuse are 1-1 against the Yellow Jackets in the ACC tournament.

The winner will advance to the quarterfinals and play No. 6 (two seed) Duke at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
