The Syracuse men's cross country team is predicted as the Northeast Region favorite in the initial USTFCCCA Regional rankings.

The Orange have won the NCAA Northeast Regional in each of the last two seasons and have claimed the title in all-but two seasons since 2009. The Syracuse women were predicted fourth in the northeast region in the preseason poll.

Both squads are coming off strong seasons in 2022. The 'Cuse men took 12th at the NCAA Championships, while the women finished 23rd. The finishes were the program's best since 2016 and 2015, respectively.

The 2023 campaign gets underway on Saturday at the Harry Lang Invitational on Saturday morning.
