CLEMSON, S.C. - Syracuse men's soccer (6-6-3, 1-4-2 ACC) dropped a 6-1 decision at No. 3 Clemson (10-2-2, 5-2-0 ACC) in its final road game of the regular season on Friday night at Historic Riggs Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
The Tigers struck early, taking a 1-0 lead on their first shot of the game in the second minute.

In the 15th minute, Michael Acquah received a red card after video review, forcing the Orange to play the remainder of the contest with 10 men. The Tigers took advantage of being a man up, netting goals in the 25th, 30th, and 33rd minutes to extend their lead to 4-0.

'Cuse got on the board in the 36th minute when Ezra Widman was fouled in the box and converted a penalty kick. SU went into the locker room down, 1-4.

Just over two minutes into the second half, the Tigers scored again to extend their lead to 5-1.

Clemson's sixth and final goal came in the 63rd minute, sealing a 6-1 victory over Syracuse.

Syracuse will conclude its regular season on Friday, Nov. 1 against Pittsburgh for the program's Senior Night. The match will kick off at 7 p.m. and can be streamed live on ACC Network Extra. Admission and parking are free for all in attendance.

OF NOTE:Â
- Widman's goal is the second of his season and career. The sophomore net his first goal this year against Niagara on Aug. 25.
- Jason Smith recorded his second appearance of the season, stepping into the goal in the 65th minute and recording one save.
- Andre Cutler-DeJesus went the full 90 minutes in the loss, something he has done 11 times this season.
- Syracuse and Clemson are now tied in the lifetime series with six wins apiece.
- The last time Syracuse gave up six goals in a contest came on Sept. 26, 1993, in a 2-6 loss at Boston College.
