ACC Tipoff Kicks Off Women's Basketball Season

The 2024-25 women's basketball season is around the corner. The Orange are headed to Charlotte Tuesday, Oct. 8, for ACC Tipoff at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown in Charlotte, N.C. Joining third-year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack this year are senior captains Kyra Wood and Georgia Woolley. This marks the second year in a row Wood will attend Tipoff to represent the Orange while Woolley makes her first trip to the Queen City for the annual event.Â
The Orange will go through a packed schedule filled with film and radio interviews, photo shoots and press conferences on Tuesday morning, highlighted by live hits on ACC Network and a press conference moderated by ESPN's Christy Thomaskutty at 11 a.m. on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX). Fans can watch Wood and Woolley live on ACC Network at 9:30 a.m. and Coach Jack at 11:15 a.m.Â
Syracuse posted a 24-8 overall record last season and finished tied for second in the ACC with a 13-5 ACC mark. The Orange advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time under Legette-Jack and set multiple program records along the way. The Orange return two starters from last season, Wood and Woolley, while adding five newcomers to the mix including transfers Journey Thompson (Arizona State)Â and Angelica Velez (LSU).Â
