The Orange battled back from a 4-2 deficit with two third period goals to force overtime at Lindenwood on Saturday. In the extra session the Lions tallied the game-winner with less than 90 seconds remaining. It was Syracuse's sixth overtime game of the season, and the second of the series at Lindenwood. Â
"Lindenwood played us hard all weekend. A disappointing result today after another gutsy come from behind effort," said head coach Britni Smith. "This group is tight knit, resilient and will continue to battle for each other, I am sure of that. We are excited to host RIT at the War Memorial next Saturday."
Â
