SYRACUSE, NEW YORK -- No. 4 Syracuse women's lacrosse faces off against ACC foe Duke on Saturday, March 2. Opening draw is set for noon at the JMA Wireless Dome. Both teams enter the game with a .500 record, with the Orange at 2-2 and the Blue Devils at 3-3.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse is coming off an impressive, come-from-behind victory against No. 2 Notre Dame last weekend in South Bend. Trailing 10-6 at halftime, Olivia Adamson led the 'Cuse comeback with three second half goals. The junior finished with six points, increasing her season total to 20. Senior Natalie Smith buried four goals in the contest and senior Emma Ward finished with a game-high three assists.

With the victory, Syracuse improved its record in ACC openers to 8-2 since joining the league in 2014.

SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS
After losing to Clemson in its ACC opener last weekend, Duke rebounded to defeat Winthrop on Wednesday to even its record at 3-3. The Blue Devils currently rank ninth in the ACC in scoring defense and are fifth in the conference with 16.00 goals per game.

Senior Katie DeSimone has been a bright spot for the Blue Devils this season. Her 29 goals and 36 points lead the nation by wide margins. Duke has six players with double-digit points, including junior Carly Bernstein, who ranks fifth in the ACC with 12 assists.Â

Saturday's matchup will be the 11th meeting between Syracuse and Duke, with the Orange leading the all-time series 8-2. Syracuse has won the last four in a row and seven of the last eight. The Orange are 3-1 against the Blue Devils at home. Last year's matchup saw a back-and-forth first half, with the Orange pulling away with seven goals in the third quarter.

Emma Tyrrell and Emma Ward had three goals apiece, and Delaney Sweitzer stopped five shots and secured six ground balls in the win.
