NORFOLK, VA. – Syracuse plated 20 total runs across two run-rule victories, beating Le Moyne, 11-1, and Norfolk State, 9-0, Monday in Norfolk, Va.

Junior Taylor Posner and graduate student Rebecca Clyde each had a 5 RBI game in the wins, career-bests for the right-handed hitters.

Senior Lindsey Hendrix, sophomore Julianna Verni and junior Britney Lewinski combined to strikeout 10 batters in 10.0 innings, yielding just one run on four hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST LE MOYNE:Â
Syracuse scored all 11 of its runs across the first three innings, beginning with a pair in the first via a wild pitch and RBI single off the bat of junior Tessa Galipeau.

The Orange broke the contest open in the second with a five-run frame, highlighted by Clyde's three run shot.
Â
Clyde added her second long ball of the day in the third inning with a two-run homer before junior Laila Morales-Alves left the ballpark two batters later for a two-run shot of her own.

Hendrix struck out five batters, yielding one run on three hits across four innings in her sixth victory of the campaign. Verni fanned a pair in the fifth to secure the run-rule win.

Syracuse's offensive rout once again occurred with a five-run second inning. Leading 2-0, senior Angel Jasso drove in a pair with a double to right before scoring on Posner's double the very next at bat.

Posner launched her sixth long ball of the campaign in the fourth, a two-run homer, before her two-run single in the fifth put the run rule into effect.

Lewinski threw her first complete game of the season, yielding one run and one free pass while fanning three batters. The righty has not allowed a run in two of her last three outings.

- The Orange recorded their fifth shutout of the season and scored double digit runs for the third time.
- Clyde and Posner are the first Syracuse teammates to have a two-home run game in the same season since Gabby Teran and Neli Casares-Maher in 2019.
- Syracuse has multiple players with at least 5 RBI in a game for the first time since 2017, when Faith Cain, Alyssa Dewes and current assistant coach Sydney O'Hara each achieved the mark.
- Hendrix is tied with Jocelyn Carter (2014-16) for tenth all-time in career victories.
- Jasso had a multi-hit game in both games, giving her 43 career multi-hit performances. She is two shy of cracking the top 10 in program history.
- Posner has three games this season with four-or-more RBI.
- Seven different players recorded a multi-hit performance on Monday.
