The Syracuse women's basketball team will begin its 2024-25 season with an exhibition game against Daeman College on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the JMA Wireless Dome. It will be the first time fans will have the opportunity to see the squad before opening the season against Niagara on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
The Orange begin Felisha Legette-Jack's third season at the helm with a five-game homestand before hitting the road for the inaugural Emerald Coast Classic Women's Basketball Tournament on Nov. 25-26.
Following the season opener against the Purple Eagles, 'Cuse welcomes St. Joseph's to the Dome on Sunday, Nov. 10 for the first weekend matinee of the season. The Orange host Maryland, who Syracuse lost to in College Park, 83-81, last year in a game that many believe set the tone for Syracuse's record-breaking 2023-24 season.
Syracuse hosts Fairleigh Dickinson (Nov. 17) and Albany (Nov. 20) before heading to the Sunshine State for the Emerald Coast Classic where SU will face Missouri (Nov. 25) in the first game. Syracuse will then play either Creighton or Wichita State on Tuesday, Nov. 26 to wrap up the ECC.
'Cuse returns home for one game against Yale on Dec. 1 before traveling south to College Station for the ACC/SEC Challenge against Texas A&M on Wednesday, Dec. 4. It marks the first time the Orange and Aggies will face off since 2018 when SU defeated #20 Texas A&M, 75-65. SU will finish the week with their first ACC matchup inside the Loud House on Sunday, Dec. 8th (Opponent TBA).
The Orange round out non-conference play with an away matchup against Binghamton (Dec. 18th) and a contest against Dartmouth inside the Dome (Dec. 21st). 'Cuse last played Binghamton in 2022, earning a 92-59 victory, and will travel down I-81 to play the Bearcats for the first time since the 2011-12 season. Syracuse is undefeated against Dartmouth all-time, last earning one of their five victories in 2013, 88-47.
Coach Jack and her squad enter the 2024-25 season on the heels of a record-breaking 2023-24 campaign that saw the Orange finish 24-8 overall and peak as high as No. 17 in the AP Poll. The ACC Coach of the Year led SU to tying program records in regular season wins (23), conference wins (13), and ACC road wins (6), while reaching the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
