SYRACUSE - Basketball season is coming! Not only was it the first official practice of the season for the Syracuse women's basketball team, but the 2024-25 ACC women's basketball schedule was announced live on ACC Network's Nothing But Net Tuesday evening.
The ACC welcomes three new schools this year, California, Stanford, and SMU, changing the schedule format from past years. The Orange will face just one opponent twice, Boston College, opposed to the previous format which featured regional pods playing home and away games versus each other every season.
Syracuse will have 12 ACC games televised nationally including eleven of those on an ESPN family network. Six of SU's ACC home games will air live on ACC Network, the most for Syracuse women's basketball since the inception of the ACC Network in 2019.
The Orange begin their ACC season against Notre Dame at the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, Dec. 8. Tip-off vs. the Irish is slated for 12 p.m. on ACC Network.
'Cuse travels to Georgia Tech (Jan. 2) and Florida State (Jan. 5) to begin the new year before returning home for a pair of games against SMU (Jan. 9) and Miami (Jan. 12). The Orange also travel to Louisville (Jan. 16), Boston College (Jan. 19) and Clemson (Jan. 26) in January while hosting NC State on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.
The Orange will make their first cross-country trip to face Stanford and Cal on Feb. 13 and 16, respectively, before returning home to close out the regular season at home for three of their last four games against UNC (Feb. 20), Pittsburgh (Feb. 27) and Boston College for Senior Day on March 2.
The final ACC road game is slated for Feb. 23 at Duke on The CW at 2 p.m.
