
Orange To Face Nine NCAA Tournament Teams in 2025

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse women's lacrosse will take on nine teams that played in last year's NCAA Tournament in 2025, including defending national champion Boston College. The Orange will host nine home games, including the regular-season finale against the Eagles.

Syracuse opens the 2025 slate against UAlbany on Feb. 7 at the JMA Wireless Dome. The Great Danes are led by 'Cuse All-American Katie Rowan Thomson '10. The Orange go on the road to take on Maryland in College Park on Feb. 15 before hosting Cornell on Feb 18.

ACC play gets underway when Syracuse travels to Chapel Hill to face North Carolina on Feb. 22. The Orange return home to take on last year's national runner-up, Northwestern, on Feb. 25. The matchup against the Wildcats starts a four-game homestand for Syracuse, which includes contests against Clemson (Mar. 1), Stanford (Mar. 7) and Johns Hopkins (Mar. 11).

The Orange play at Pitt (Mar. 15) and Loyola (Mar. 19) before returning home for a pair of ACC battles against Notre Dame (Mar. 23) and Virginia (Mar. 29), Syracuse is back on the road for three-straight road games at Yale (Apr. 2), California (Apr. 5) and Virginia Tech (Apr. 12). The game against the Bulldogs is a rematch of last year's NCAA quarterfinal, which Syracuse won, 19-9.

Syracuse finishes the regular season with a home game against Boston College. The teams met three times last season, including the ACC Championship and the national semifinals.

The Orange, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Kayla Treanor, posted a 16-6 record last season and won their first outright ACC regular-season title in program history. Syracuse advanced to the national semifinals for the 10th time overall and third time in the last four years.
