NEW HAVEN, Connecticut – Syracuse looks to advance to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament quarterfinals when it takes on No. 7 seed and fifth-ranked Yale on Sunday in the second round. Opening draw in New Haven, Connecticut is set for 2 p.m.

ORANGE IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
Syracuse is making its 22nd appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Orange have an all-time record of 29-21 in tournament play. Syracuse has advanced to Championship Weekend 10 times, including the past two seasons.

'CUSE UPDATE
The Orange defeated Brown, 15-9, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. Emma Ward led the Syracuse offense with six points on three goals and three assists. Overall, eight different players found the back of the net for the Orange.

The win improved Syracuse's record to 10-8.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Yale earned the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament after winning the Ivy League Tournament. The Bulldogs came from behind to defeat UAlbany, 12-9, in the first round on Friday to improve their record to 15-3.

Jenna Collignon is Yale's leading goal scorer with 62 this season, while Fallon Vaughn has a team-high 71 points on 44 goals and 27 assists.

The Bulldogs have one of the top-ranked defenses in the nation. Yale is allowing 8.33 goals per game this season, which ranks fourth nationally.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's game marks the sixth overall meeting and second this season between Syracuse and Yale. The Bulldogs own a 3-2 advantage in the series.

The Orange visited Reese Stadium on April 2. Neither team could pull away in the first half. The squads were tied at 5-5 before the Bulldogs scored the final two goals of the first half to take a 7-5 advantage into the locker rooms at halftime.

'Cuse trailed by one, 8-7, heading into the fourth quarter, but Yale tallied four of the first five goals of the final period and went on to a 13-10 victory. Ashlee Volpe scored a career-high four goals to lead the Orange.
