The ACC/SEC Challenge matchups have been announced, and Syracuse will host Auburn at the JMA Wireless Dome on Wednesday, December 3. This is the second year of the ACC/SEC Challenge, and the first home game of the challenge for the Orange who lost on the road at Texas A&M in 2024.
Syracuse and Auburn have met five times in program history, with the Tigers winning all five contests. The Dec. 3 game will be the first time the two will meet since Dec. 19, 2004, which resulted in a 48-35 win for Auburn at Manley Fieldhouse.
'Cuse will play host to the Tigers for the third time, having hosted them twice before in 1988 and 2004 while meeting neutrally in Miami in 1988. Auburn has twice hosted Syracuse, in February 1988 and again the following December of that same year.
This will be the first trip to the JMA Wireless Dome for Auburn, who posted a 12-18 overall record and went 3-13 in the SEC in 2024-25. The Tigers will be under the direction of first year head coach Larry Vickers when they come to town.
Syracuse also went 12-18 overall last season but posted a 6-12 record in the ACC. Syracuse returns seven athletes from last season and welcomes three four freshmen; Camdyn Nelson, Justus Fitzgerald, Jasmyn Cooper and Izoje Uche to the roster as well as four transfers; Arora Almón (Miami), Laila Phelia (Texas), Dominique Darius (USC) and Oyindamola Akinbowala (Auburn).
