No. 4 Syracuse (12-3, 7-2 ACC) closes out the regular season Thursday, traveling to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to take on No. 13 Boston College (8-6, 5-4 ACC).
Opening Draw
The Orange arrive in Chestnut Hill riding a 12-game winning streak tied for the fourth longest in program history, with seven of those wins coming against ranked opponents. Syracuse has played the second toughest strength of schedule in the nation this season, with prior opponents boasting a .693 winning percentage.
The Orange Defense
Syracuse ranks fifth in the nation in scoring defense at 7.3 goals per game — second in the ACC — while playing the second toughest schedule in the country.
Izzy Lahah and Coco Vandiver lead the team with 42 and 40 caused turnovers, respectively, becoming the first pair of Syracuse teammates to each reach 40 or more in a single season. Both are closing in on the program's single-season record of 45, set by Katie Goodale in 2024.
Daniella Guyette ranks third nationally in goals against average at 7.01 with a .488 save percentage, earning IWLCA National Co-Defensive Player of the Week and ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors after her 11-save performance against Notre Dame.
Get the Ball to Guzik
Sophomore Molly Guzik has been the engine of the Orange offense all season, totaling 36 goals and 10 assists for 46 points while scoring in 14 of 15 games. She notched her sixth game this season with three or more goals two weeks ago at Duke.
Guzik was also named a Third Team Midseason All-American and added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List last month.
Scouting Boston College
The Eagles bring a high-powered offense to Chestnut Hill, averaging 12.9 goals per game while converting on 55.9 percent of their free position opportunities. Molly Driscoll leads BC with 47 points, including 13 over her last three games, while Marissa White paces the Eagles with 35 goals. Shea Dolce owns a .432 save percentage with 117 saves in net.
Series History
Thursday marks the 32nd all-time meeting between the programs. Syracuse leads the series 17-15 overall but has dropped eight straight to the Eagles. The two have met twice in the National Semifinals since 2023, Boston College having won both meetings.
