Freshman Year: Wright played in 10 games for the Orange as a first-year performer...He scored his first collegiate points in the SU opener against NORTHERN COLORADO...Wright had three points and a season-high five rebounds in the victory...He had five points against CORNELL...His 13 minutes played at SIENA represented a season-best total...He had two assists when Syracuse defeated RUTGERS in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament.
Oak Hill Academy: Rivals.com ranked Wright 51st overall and 10th at power foward among members of the class of 2004…He was 90th overall by Prepstars.com…Hoopsters.com rated Wright 11th at the power foward position…Oak Hill Academy, coached by Steven Smith, won the high school national championship…Wright and his teammates posted a 38-0 record and held the top spot of the USA Today Super 25 all season…He earned a spot on the all-tournament team at the 2003 Five-Star Hoop Classic in Boston…Wright scored a season-high 19 points three times -- in a 104-57 victory at Christiansburg, a 115-48 triumph against Bishop McGuinnes and a 118-68 victory against Blue Ridge School…He had a personal-best 19 rebounds when Oak Hill defeated Laurinburg Institute, 86-66…Wright’s first double-double of the campaign was a 13-point, 10-rebound showing against Laurinburg Charter in a 107-70 Oak Hill decision…He posted 11 points and 12 boards versus Forsyth Country Day…Wright produced 12 points and 16 rebounds when Oak Hill bested Lexington Catholic, 77-59…Two games later he contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds versus R.J.
