Senior Year: Pace was a fixture in the starting lineup for all 34 contests...He earned the BIG EAST Conference Sportsmanship Award...He was an honorable mention All-BIG EAST selection and made the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team...Pace's 14 points and 10 rebounds versus ST. Sophomore Year: Pace appeared in 32-of-35 games on the season…He played a key role in several of SU’s NCAA tournament victories…Pace scored a wason-high 14 points against AUBURN on a season-high 7-of-13 field goals…Pace recorded 12 points in SU’s NCAA semifinal win against TEXAS…He had a season-high eight rebounds against OKLAHOMA STATE and versus KANSAS in the national title game…All of his boards against OSU were on the defensive glass…He nabbed a season-high three steals against KANSAS and OKLAHOMA STATE…During the six games of the tournament, Pace averaged 8.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals, and he connected on .639 percent (23-of-36) of his shots from the floor…Pace ranked eighth on the club in minutes played, averaging 14.7 per game…He was fourth in assists (60) and fifth in steals (26) among the Orange…He proved himself as a playmaker by setting what were at the time career-highs in assists in back-to-back games with six against VALPARAISO and then seven against COLGATE.
Freshman Year: He finished his rookie campaign ranked seventh in scoring average (4.3) and fifth in steals average (0.9)…Pace saw action in 32-of-36 games…He saw court time in every outing except for home games with BOSTON COLLEGE and NOTRE DAME, the contest at WEST VIRGINIA, and the Preseason NIT title encounter with WAKE FOREST…Pace scored in all but five of his appearances…Pace tallied seven points in his SU debut against MANHATTAN…He had a season high two games later when he hit for 12 versus BINGHAMTON…Pace equaled that total in the team’s loss at GEORGIA TECH and again against WEST VIRGINIA on Feb. 4…In his first BIG EAST contest, against RUTGERS, Pace had a season-best five rebounds to go with eight points…He tied his season-best effort with 12 points and five rebounds in the Carrier Dome victory against WEST VIRGINIA…He had a collegiate-high five steals in the decision…In his strongest Postseason NIT effort, Pace produced 10 points and five rebounds in 14 minutes of work at RICHMOND.
High School: He was a four-year performer for Coach Ferris Qualls at Griffin High School…The Bears were 24-6 during his senior year…Griffin lost to Savannah High in the quarterfinals of the Class 5A playoffs…Pace averaged 26.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3 steals per game as a senior…Pace tallied 2,427 points, 950 rebounds, 431 assists and 275 steals in his high school career…He was a team captain as a junior and senior…A four-year all-state selection, Pace was region player of the year twice and first-team all-region four times…Pace was named to the Street & Smith’s and Nike All-American clubs…He participated in the Georgia-Florida All-Star Game during the spring.
