2002-03: Qualified for the BIG EAST Championship in just her first season and competed in the 50 freestyle (24.78), the 100 freestyle (53.61) and the 100 butterfly(59.20)…reached her personal-best times in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle at the conference championship…posted her fastest time of the season in the 100 butterfly (57.72) at the Nike Cup…swam with SU's 200 freestyle relay and its 800 freestyle relay at the conference meet…member of the fall and spring Athletic Director's Honor Rolls…a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
High School: Comes from a very unique situation in that she was responsible for starting and coaching her school swim team during her junior year at Kitsilano Secondary…swam the 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle her junior and senior years…her top time in the 100 freestyle her senior year was 1:01.05…her top time in the 200 freestyle her senior year was 2:09.48…captured first place in the 100 and 200 butterfly at the Provincial Championships her junior year…placed second in the 200 butterfly at the Youth/Junior National Championships…was third in the 200 freestyle at the Provincial Championships…served as team captain her junior and senior seasons.
Personal: Born June 5, 1984 in Toronto, Ontario…the only child of David and Penny Wong…majoring in psychology and international relations.
