2002-03: Posted a season-best time of 1:54.86 in the 200 freestyle at the Rutgers Invitational where she finished first…also captured first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle against Seton Hall and was first in the 100 freestyle in a dual meet against Villanova…member of the fall and spring Athletic Director's Honor Roll…a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
2001-02: A BIG EAST qualifier as a freshman...selected as the team's Rookie of the Year…finished first in the 200 freestyle in a dual-meet against Pittsburgh…recorded a personal-best time in the 200 freestyle (1:54.53) at the Rutgers Invitational…swam on SU's 400 and 800 freestyle relay teams at the BIG EAST Championship…named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll both semesters…a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
High School: A member of the Olympia High School swim team…served as team captain her senior year…coached by Bruce Antonowicz as a member of the Washington Aquatic Killer Orcas club team…posted season-best times of 53.16 in the 100 freestyle, 1:53.80 in the 200 freestyle, 2:08.48 in the 200 IM and 5:03.55 in the 500 freestyle her senior year…placed 19th at junior nationals in the 400 IM with a career-best time of 4:31.33…named a Scholastic All-American in 2000 and 2001…earned team's Most Outstanding Swimmer Award in 1997 and MVP award in 1999…member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, the International Club and the Spanish Club.
Personal: Born Dec. 2, 1982 in Fairfax, Virginia…the daughter of Gene and Elaine Fong…has two sisters…majoring in bio-engineering.
