Volunteer assistant coach Mike Kuruc joined the Orange ice hockey staff in the fall of 2020. A 2019 Syracuse University graduate who earned his degree in sport management with a minor in sport event management, he worked with the ice hockey program as a video coordinator and operations assistant throughout his undergraduate career. He also was a goalie and team manager for the men's club ice hockey program that played in the American Collegiate Hockey Association.
Prior to returning to Syracuse, Kuruc was the director of men's ice hockey operations and goalie coach at King's College for one year. He started his career in athletics as a sales intern for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders during the summer of 2016 and served in that role again during the summer of 2017. He also completed an internship with the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in Endicott (NY) during the summer of 2018.
