
Think Pink

Syracuse, N.Y. – The Orange women's basketball team will host its “Think Pink” game on Tues., Feb. 17 when the Orange takes on the DePaul Blue Demons at 8 p.m. The game has been designated a “Pink Out,” and all those who participate by wearing a pink shirt CAN PURCHASE A GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET FOR $4. By wearing your pink shirt, you will also receive a FREE Breast Cancer Awareness cupcake with any purchase from the concession stand (while supplies last).
Breast Cancer survivors will be in attendance and pink ribbons will be distributed to all in an effort of breast cancer awareness. Players will partake by wearing pink t-shirts during warm ups, and pink shoelaces during the game, while coaches will also participate by wearing pink. The Susan G. Komen Foundation will be in attendance. The Official “Think Pink” t-shirts sponsored by AmeriCU Credit Union commemorating the event will be thrown to the crowd.
As part of the festivities, volunteers will be on hand at AmeriCU branches the week before and day of the game to hand out pink ribbons and promote the courtside suite giveaway and t-shirt toss. All appearances will take place from 11-1 p.m. at the following locations:
Auburn (Tues., Feb. 10), Cicero (Wed., Feb. 11), and Armory Square (Thurs., Feb. 12 and Tues., Feb. 17).
