SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse goes for its second consecutive victory when it takes on St. Francis (Pa.) on Friday, November 18 at 7 p.m. in teh Carrier Dome. Game time is set for 7 p.m. The Orange is 1-0 this season while the Red Flash enters the game with a 0-2 record.

THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series against St. Francis, 1-0. The two teams met for the first time last season, a contest the Orange won, 94-60.
99 AND COUNTING
Syracuse's next win will be head coach Quentin Hillsman's 100th career victory. In five-plus seasons at the helm of the Orange program, Hillsman has guided SU to a record of 99-65 (.604). He ranks third in career wins at SU and is on course to be the fastest coach to post 100 wins. Barb Jacobs, the winningest coach in school history, recorded her 100th victory in her 189th game. Hillsman will coach his 165th game on Friday.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE ORANGE
Syracuse won its season opener for the fifth consecutive year with an 81-42 victory against Long Beach State. Junior Elashier Hall recorded her third career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Orange.
The 49ers took the early lead but the Orange came back and took the lead for good on a pair of free throws by Iasia Hemingway at the 15:38 mark. SU built a seven-point advantage, but Long Beach State cut the lead to one at 14-13 with 12:49 to play in the first half. The Orange outscored LBSU, 29-7, during the remainder of the half to take a commanding 43-21 lead at intermission.
Syracuse dominated the second half, and went on to the 39-point victory.
Junior Kayla Alexander scored nine points and pulled down nine rebounds, while Hemingway finished with 13 points. Sophomore Shakeya Leary recorded 13 rebounds, helping SU to a 63-42 advantage on the boards.
SCOUTING THE RED FLASH
St. Francis stands at 0-2 in the 2011-12 campaign. Following a narrow home loss to Duquesne, the Flash dropped a 78-50 decision at Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Ali Williams leads the SFU offense, averaging 16 points in the two opening games. She recorded her third career double-double against Pittsburgh with her 10-point, 10-rebound performance. Williams also has a team-high rebound tally, grabbing 16 boards through two games.

The Orange will be back in action on Saturday when it takes on Lafayette in the Carrier Dome at 7 p.m.
