SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The -/rv Syracuse University women's basketball team (19-7, 7-6) carriers its three-game winning streak to Ohio for a critical BIG EAST battle with Cincinnati (8-17, 1-12) on Tuesday, February 22 at 7 p.m. in Fifth Third Arena (13,176).
The Orange is riding high after defeating Villanova, -/rv Louisville and rv/22 St. John's in its last three outings. Syracuse has dominated on the boards, outrebounding its last three opponents, 139-76, an average of 21.0 per game.
Syracuse is looking for its second consecutive 20-win season. SU has never had back-to-back 20-win seasons. It would mark the third time in the last four seasons and only the fifth time in its 40-year history that the Orange has hit the 20-win mark.

Last Time Out
Sophomore center Kayla Alexander led all scorers with 26 points to power Syracuse to a come-from-behind 78-67 win against St. John's on Saturday afternoon at the Carnesecca Arena. The Orange trailed from the 12:45 minute mark of the first half until there were five minutes remaining in the contest and used a 19-8 late-game rally to secure the win.
Alexander was 10-for-16 from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe and helped the squad to a 44-21 edge on the boards with eight rebounds. It marked the 24th time in the past 26 games that the Orange has outrebounded the opposition as the team continues to lead the nation with a 15.5 rebounding margin.
Junior guard Iasia Hemingway was second on the team with 13 points and six rebounds while sophomore guard Elashier Hall and redshirt freshman forward Shakeya Leary each added 10. Hall also had four steals and four rebounds in the win while Leary added five boards.
Senior guard Erica Morrow added nine points and dished out a pair of assists while classmate Tasha Harris had eight points and a team-best four assists.
Scouting Cincinnati
Cincinnati (8-17, 1-12 BIG EAST) has lost its last 11 games, including a 57-43 setback at home to Providence on Saturday
Senior guard Shareese Ulis is UC's leading scorer, averaging 13.4 points per game, which is 15th in the BIG EAST. She has scored in double figures in all but seven games this season. Ulis has knocked down a 3-pointer in each game this season and 27 consecutive games dating to 2009-10.
Jeanise Randolph scored a career-high 20 points on a school-record 10-of-11 shooting at Villanova on Feb. 15.
Chanel Chisholm returned to the lineup after missing five games due to injury. During that span, Cincinnati dressed only seven players.
Since being inserted into the starting lineup four games ago, Bjonee Reaves is averaging 12.5 points per game.
The Bearcats start two freshmen, a sixth-year senior, a first-year junior college transfer, and a second-year junior college transfer.
Series Notes
Cincinnati leads the all-time series 4-3.
SU's first win came during the Orange's run to the 2002 NCAA Tournament when Syracuse earned a 70-68 decision in Cincinnati. Syracuse's second victory came during the 2008 NCAA Tournament run, 66-56 in Syracuse.
The Orange took home a dramatic 71-70 win during its last season to Cincinnati during the 2008-09 season.
The two squads first got together in 1982 as part of the Domino's Wolverine Classic in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Bearcats won that encounter, 75-70.
The Bearcats won a 66-62 overtime contest last year in Syracuse.
