SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Freshman goaltender Kallie Billadeau received her second consecutive College Hockey America (CHA) Goalie of the Week honor on March 7. She was the only goaltender and freshman to be named to the CHA All-Tournament Team following last weekend's championship game.
The Minnetonka, Minnesota native made 59 total saves and recorded her first career shutout in two games during the CHA Tournament. In the semifinals against Niagara, Billadeau's shutout helped the Orange to a 1-0 victory to advance to the championship game for the second consecutive season. In the finals versus No. 4 Mercyhurst, she turned away 41 shots as SU was edged 5-4.
Billadeau played 22 games in net for the Orange during her rookie campaign, recording a goals-against-average of 2.84 and a saves percentage of .908, which ranks third in the conference.
At the CHA postseason banquet on March 3, the netminder was the only player at her position to be named to the CHA All-Rookie Team.
