FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Syracuse goes for its first victory in 2011 on Sunday, Aug. 21 when it takes on Florida Gulf Coast at 1 p.m. on the final day of the Embassy Suites Kick Off Classic.

THE SERIES
Sunday's game marks the first meeting between Syracuse and Florida Gulf Coast in women's soccer.

FRIDAY NIGHT REWIND
The Orange opened the season on Friday night against Robert Morris. Neither team could find the back of the net as Syracuse outshot the Colonials, 7-2. Robert Morris netted the only goal in the 49th minute for a 1-0 victory.
