Wisconsin adidas Invitational Central
The Syracuse cross country team will compete in one of the most elite collegiate cross country race this weekend at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational. The race takes place on Friday, Oct. 12th at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. The women take to the course at 1:00 p.m. ET while the No. 10 men will run the 8K at 1:40 p.m. ET.

The Syracuse cross country team will compete in one of the most elite collegiate cross country race this weekend at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational. - This is the fourth-annual Wisconsin adidas Invitational
- The race features 46 men's teams (8k) and 49 women's teams (6k). For complete information on the meet and course visit the Wisconsin adidas Invitational Central
- The Wisconsin men's cross country team were the 2011 NCAA champions.
- In 2009, at the inaugural race, the Syracuse men were named the team champions.
- In 2010, the Syracuse women's took first place at the race.
- The men claimed nine of the top-10 finishers.
- The top finisher on the men side for the Orange was freshman Marin Hehir who ran to a second place finish with a time of 19:01.
- Â The No. 22 women ran to a fifth place finish in a race that included three other ranked teams (No. 18 Toledo, No. 23 San Francisco and No. 25 West Virginia).
- Senior Sarah Pagano led the Orange women for the second straight meet, running to a second place finish with a time of 13:19 in the women's 4k race.
- The Syracuse men's cross country team has broken into the top-10 in the USTFCCCA Men's Cross Country Coaches' Poll.
- The Orange garnered its highest ranking so far this season coming in at number 10. Â
- The men have won every race so far, finishing in first at the Harry Lang Invitational, the Dartmouth Invitational and the Toledo Bubble Buster.Â
- In the regional rankings, the men are still ranked at second in the Northeast Region behind Iona. The women are ranked eighth in the Northeast Region.
- The women dropped out of the national poll for the first time this season but are receiving votes.
- The women took first at the Harry Lang Invitational and third at the Dartmouth Invitational. They ran to a fifth place finish in a tough Toledo Bubble Buster race.
- The Orange travel to the John Reif Memorial in Ithaca, N.Y. on Friday, Oct. 19th.
