
Kallie Billaedau, Melissa Piacentini and Nicole Renault were all named to the CHA Honor Roll this week.
Three Recognized on CHA Honor Roll

Following its sweep of Penn State, three Syracuse ice hockey student-athletes were named to the CHA Honor Roll. Junior goaltender Kallie Billadeau, freshman forward Melissa Piacentini and freshman Nicole Renault garnered the conference accolade. The Orange (14-11-1, 8-3-1 CHA) blanked the Nittany Lions, 1-0, on Friday night and then defeated PSU, 4-1, on Saturday.

Billadeau notched her sixth shutout of the season and eighth of her career against the Nittany Lions in Friday night's 1-0 win at home. She recorded 13 saves in the win. Billadeau's six shutouts this season ranks her second in the nation and is a program record. Her 1.37 GAA ranks her fifth in the nation and second in the CHA while her save percentage of .944 puts her at fourth in the NCAA and second in the conference. Billadeau was named the CHA Goaltender of the Month for October and has garnered goaltender of the week twice (Oct. 22nd and Nov. 25th). This is her sixth time being named to the honor roll this season.

Piacentini recorded an assist in each game against the Nittany Lions to extend her point scoring streak to six-straight games. On Friday night, she had the primary assist on Nicole Renault's game-winÂning goal. The rookie leads SU in points with 20 off of eight goals and 12 assists. Her 12 assists are a team-high. She is tied for 10th in point scoring in the CHA (0.77 avg/g) and fourth in freshman scoring. In the past nine games, Piacentini has recorded three goals and seven assists. Piacentini was named the rookie of the week for Nov. 25th and Jan. 21st and this is her third time being named to the honor roll.

Renault scored her first career goal for the Orange in a 1-0 shutout against Penn State on Friday night. Renault's tally served as the eventual game-winner. So far this season, she has tallied one goal and 10 assists. Renault has notched at least one point in the past four games (Jan. 18-Jan. 26th). In that span, she has recorded one goal and four assists. It is her first conference honor of her career.

The Orange hit the road for a weekend series at conference opponent Robert Morris. Puck drop is scheduled for 3 p.m. on both Friday, Feb. 1st and Saturday, Feb. 2nd.Â
