XC Heads to Cornell For Last Race Before ACC Championships

SYRACUSE, N.Y.—Syracuse heads to the John Reif Memorial race, hosted by Cornell on Friday for some last-minute tune-ups before heading down to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the ACC Championship race next weekend.

The Orange have attended the Ithaca, N.Y. event every year since it started in 2010, using it as pre-conference meet to prepare for the league championships.

Last season the women finished five runners in the top-10 and the men placed four in the top-20. Andrew Bennison was the top men's harrier, running to a second place overall finish. No team scores are kept at the race.

Last weekend the men's team raced to an eighth place finish in a field of 35 teams at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational. Martin Hehir had the best finish, taking 26^th place just 37 seconds behind the individual champion.

The women's team finished in 11th place out of 37 schools. Margo Malone was the top finisher, placing 30th out of 254 runners.
