
'Cuse Skates For the Cure This Weekend

Syracuse and No. 10 Mercyhurst square off this weekend for the annual Skate for the Cure event at Tennity Ice Pavilion. Show your support for the Orange and help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. Admission is free to all.

The team will be selling Skate for the Cure t-shirts at the game, which can be purchased for $15 each or two for $25. Donations will also be accepted at the game and all proceeds will benefit the Upstate Cancer Center.

'Skate for the Cure' is a conference-wide campaign designed to raise funds awareness for causes of each team's choosing. In the past six years, the CHA's campaign has raised over $70,000 that was donated to various treatment centers. Last season, Syracuse raised $2,500 for the Upstate Cancer Center.
