
Gilligan Named CHA Goaltender of the Week

The junior led the Orange to its first win over Mercyhurst in program history
After leading the Orange to its first win over Mercyhurst in program history, junior goaltender Jenn Gilligan was named CHA Goaltender of the Week.
Gilligan made 28 saves in the Orange's win over the Lakers and kept the Orange in the game early after surviving an early onslaught of 16 shots, including eight saves on Mercyhurst power plays in the first period.
The Orange managed a 4-1 win over No. 7 Mercyhurst on Saturday after falling to the Lakers on Friday, where Gilligan made 25 saves.
Gilligan and the Orange return to action this weekend with a pair of games against Vermont which will conclude the team's season-long seven game homestand.Â
