Syracuse ranks No. 25/24 in the nation

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball team appears in the top 25 of both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll for the 10th consecutive week. Syracuse ranks No. 25 in the AP Poll and No. 24 in the coaches' rankings.

Last week, the Orange split its two contests. Syracuse lost in the final seconds at Duke on Jan. 8. The team rebounded with its first Atlantic Coast Conference victory on Jan. 11 against Virginia.

Syracuse enters this week with an 11-5 overall record and 1-2 mark in conference competition. All five of the squad's losses have at the hands of top-25 opposition.

The Orange is back in action on Thursday night when it hosts ACC-foe Wake Forest. The game is slated to begin at 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome and will be televised on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and ESPN3.
