
Orange Adds Transfer Lamison

Liverpool, N.Y. native was an All-American in 2014
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Over the coming weeks Syracuse University head field hockey coach Ange Bradley is announcing the program's 2015 signing class. Be sure the check Cuse.com as the Orange unveils its incoming class one-by-one.

In today's edition, Bradley is happy to announce the addition of Emma Lamison, a forward from Liverpool, N.Y.

"We welcome Liverpool native Emma Lamison back home to Syracuse after a two-year stint at Northeastern," stated Bradley. "While at Northeastern, Emma was an All-Northeast Region First Team honoree and Second Team All-American."

Lamison joins the Orange program from Northeastern, where she played her freshman and sophomore campaigns. As a member of the Huskies, Lamison played in 39 games, accumulating 26 points on nine goals and eight assists. In 2014, she led the squad in scoring en route to All-CAA First Team, NFHCA All-Northeast Region First Team, and NFHCA All-America Second Team honors.

A Liverpool, N.Y. native, Lamison recorded 172 points on 61 goals and 50 assists in her scholastic career. Under head coach Kim Dominick, she set the Liverpool High School record for career points. Lamison was a four-time all-state honoree and led the Warriors to two regional championships in 2011 and 2012.

"As a forward, Emma has quick hands, is crafty with the ball, and has the ability to get outcomes in the circle," commented Bradley. "We are excited to have Emma join our offense and add a new dimension to our forward line. We happily welcome Emma back home."

The daughter of Kathy and Tim, Lamison grew up in an athletic family. Her three sisters all played some sport collegiately. Her oldest sister, Caitlin, was a softball player at Clarion University. Her sister Nicole played field hockey and softball at Syracuse from 2007-09, while her sister Beth was on the field hockey and softball teams at Cortland.

Off the pitch, Lamison has shown to be a success, as well. She was named to the All-CAA Academic Team in 2014 at Northeastern for her efforts in the classroom. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society.
