Syracuse headed to Europe in nine days
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 2015-16 Syracuse University women's basketball team is on campus preparing for its international tour to Europe. Syracuse will travel to Austria, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, playing four games in 10 days.
Â
The Orange is allotted 10 practices before the squad departs for its foreign trip. These practices will provide a jumpstart to the 2015-16 campaign, giving the program precious time they would not have if not for the international tour. Syracuse began practice for the trip on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Â
"I think it is huge," head coach Quentin Hillsman commented. "You get a lot of things done that you would do in your first 10-12 days of your official practices. We are getting a jump on the season."
Â
Hillsman sat down with Cuse TV's Brian Higgins to preview the upcoming tour and talk about how the first day of practice went. One can view the video by pressing the play button in the top image or by clicking the link in the side menu.
Â
One can still support the program on its international tour. More information on supporting the team can be found here. At this point, more than $22,000 has been raised.
