Â
Wednesday's game is School Day. Anti-bullying and health and wellness presentations will occur prior to tipoff.

Â
Syracuse enters Wednesday's game with a 6-3 overall record. In their last outing, the Orange recorded a 95-63 victory against Central Connecticut State on Dec. 4. For the third time this season, SU eclipsed the 90-point mark. The team scored at least 90 points five times in 38 games during the 2015-16 campaign.
Â
Coppin State comes into the weekday matchup with a 0-7 overall mark. In their last contest, the Eagles suffered a 69-55 setback at Towson on Dec. 3. Redshirt senior forward Tiara Goode drained eight 3-point field goals in the four-point loss, setting a program single-game record.
Â
Up to the Challenge
Coming off its most successful season in program history, head coach Quentin Hillsman wanted to challenge the 2016-17 Syracuse women's basketball team from the start. For the first time, Syracuse took on three nationally-ranked opponents in the first month of the season.
Â
Following consecutive losses against No. 8/8 Ohio State on Nov. 26 and No. 18/17 DePaul on Nov. 27, the Orange bounced back with a victory against No. 22 Michigan State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 30.
Â
With the team's win against Michigan State, Syracuse has defeated at least one nationally-ranked opponent each of the last 10 years. Last season, the Orange set a program record by defeating five nationally-ranked foes.
Â
Deep Threat
Freshman guard Gabby Cooper is looking to fill the void left by Brianna Butler, the program's all-time leader in career 3-point field goals made. Cooper has made 22 3-point field goals on the 2016-17 campaign, which ranks second on the team.
Â
In the season opener against Rhode Island on Nov. 11, Cooper became the first Orange freshman to start a game since Alexis Peterson did so against Florida State on Feb. 13, 2014. In addition, she was the first Syracuse rookie to start a campaign starter since Butler, Cornelia Fondren, and Brittney Sykes did so on Nov. 11, 2012 against Fairleigh Dickinson.
Â
Cooper knocked down four 3-point field goals against Rhode Island en route to a 12-point effort. She followed that up with an 11-point performance against Siena on Nov. 14. The Lansing, Ill. native was the first Orange freshman to post at least 10 points in each of the first two games of the season since Erica Morrow did so to kick off the 2007-08 campaign.
