
McBride Leads Team to Runner-Up Finish

McBride ranked third in the Polish Basketball League in assists
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Syracuse University women's basketball player Julie McBride just wrapped up the 2015-16 season with Artego Bydgoszcz in the Polish Basketball League. Artego Bydogoszcz took home runner-up honors in its league.
Artego Bydgoszcz went through the regular season, quarterfinals, and semifinals with only four blemishes to its name. In the a best-of-five series in the finals, the team was swept by Wisla Krakow, who earned its third consecutive league title.
In 30 games plaed, McBride averaged 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per contest. The Mechanicville, N.Y. product ranked third in the Polish Basketball League in helpers.
McBride ranks fifth in program history with 1,605 career points. She is the program's all-time leader in career assists, dishing out 574 helpers in her time on campus. In addition, she ranks second in school history with 229 career 3-point field goals made.
