Third all-time meeting between the two programs
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball team will host Central Connecticut State in its fourth home game of the 2016-17 season on Sunday, Dec. 4. Tipoff is slated for 2:00 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
The game against Central Connecticut State will be Faith and Family Day. More details about the promotion will be available closer to the date of the game on Cuse.com.
Syracuse owns a 2-0 overall record against Central Connecticut State in school history. The two programs' last meeting came during the 2014-15 campaign. The Orange recorded a 74-43 victory on Dec. 30, 2014.
Center Briana Day was quite close to becoming the third player in program history to record a triple-double. Day notched 11 points, nine rebounds, and a career-high seven blocked shots against Central Connecticut State.
The Syracuse women's basketball team is coming off its best season in its history, advancing all the way to the 2016 national final. SU set program records with five wins against nationally-ranked foes, 13 conference victories, 23 regular-season wins, and 30 overall victories.
