SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 20/19 Syracuse women's basketball team hosts North Carolina on its annual Pink Day on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.

In their last outing, the Orange had their four-game win streak snapped at No. 14/15 Duke, via a 72-55 loss on Feb. 10. Senior guard Alexis Peterson moved into second place on the program's all-time scoring list with a 19-point effort.

North Carolina comes into the weekend tilt with a 13-11 overall mark and 2-9 record in conference competition. The Tar Heels suffered an 88-77 loss against Boston College on Feb. 9. Junior guard Jamie Cherry tallied a career-high 31 points in the setback.

SERIES BREAKDOWN
Syracuse and North Carolina will meet on the hardwood for the seventh time on Sunday afternoon. The Tar Heels own a 4-2 advantage in the all-time series. Since the Orange joined the Atlantic Coast Conference, the team holds a 2-1 edge against UNC.

In the last contest between the two teams, North Carolina defeated Syracuse, 77-73, on Jan. 7, 2016. The Orange led for more than 35 minutes, but ultimately suffered their fourth loss of the year.
