Peterson Places Third in 3-Point Competition

Peterson ranks fourth in Syracuse history in 3-pointers made
PHOENIX – Senior guard Alexis Peterson of the Syracuse women's basketball team placed third in the State Farm College 3-Point Championship on Thursday night at Grand Canyon University Arena.
In the opening round, Peterson sank 12 of her 25 3-point field goal attempts, including two money balls. Her 14-point effort was the third-best among the eight competitors, giving her a spot in the semifinals.
The Columbus, Ohio native would once again knock down 12 3-point field goals in the semifinals, but made only one money ball. Oregon State senior Sydney Wiese would notch two more points to earn the final spot into the final.
In her collegiate career, Peterson made 184 3-point field goals, which ranks fifth in Orange history. She ranked fourth in program history with a .347 career 3-point field-goal percentage, as well.
