RICHMOND, Va. -- Syracuse is the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Coast Conference women's lacrosse tournament and will face No. 7 seed Virginia Tech in the quarterfinals on Thursday, April 27. Opening draw at Sports Backer Stadium in Richmond, Va. is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The Orange enter the tournament with a 13-5 overall record, including a 5-2 mark in conference play. The Hokies, which ended the regular season with five straight losses, are 11-7 overall and posted a 2-5 record in ACC action.

The game will be broadcast on RSN (click here for a list of affiliates) and ACC Network Extra. Fans can also listen to the game on ESPN 1200 AM , Cuse.com or WJPZ 89.1 FM.

ORANGE IN THE ACC TOURNAMENT
Syracuse is making its fourth appearance in the ACC Tournament. The Orange are the No. 2 seed in the tournament for the second consecutive year. Syracuse won the 2015 title and has a 7-2 all-time record in the ACC Tournament.

SCOUTING THE HOKIES
Tristan McGinley and Kristine Loscalzo rank in the top 10 in the ACC in goals. Both have scored 47 in 18 games this season. Overall, five Hokies have recorded 30 or more goals in 2017. Meagh Graham has started all 18 games in goal for Virginia Tech. She has a .470 save percentage and an 8.99 goals-against average.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Virginia Tech will meet for the ninth time on Thursday. The Orange have won the previous eight contests between the two schools. The teams met at the SU Soccer Stadium on April 9. The Hokies scored twice in the final two minutes, including the game-tying goal with four seconds on the clock, to force overtime. But redshirt freshman Mary Rahal (Queensbury, N.Y.) scored on a free position in the first extra session to give the Orange a 12-11 victory.

The winner of Thursday's game will face Virginia or Louisville in the ACC Tournament semifinals on Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m.
