Brittney Sykes posts a career-high 28 points against San Antonio
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Center Kayla Alexander '13 and guards Alexis Peterson and Brittney Sykes the top three scorers in the history of the Syracuse women's basketball program, are all in action as the 2017 WNBA season is underway.

Kayla Alexander, San Antonio Stars
- Currently averaging 5.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game in 29 contests played
- Paces San Antonio in field goal percentage (54.1 percent) and sits in second for blocked shots (0.5/game)
- Recorded a field goal in 11 minutes of action against Chicago on Aug. 10
- Tallied six points with a block, two assists and four rebounds in a victory over Atlanta on Aug. 12
 Alexis Peterson, Seattle Storm
- Tallying 1.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 0.2 steals per contest in 11 games
- Tabbed a steal and a rebound in Seattle's win over Phoenix on Aug. 12
Brittney Sykes, Atlanta Dream
- Averaging 13.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocked shots per game in 29 contests played
- Tied for first among league rookies in points per game (13.1) and blocks (0.5), while ranking second in rebounds (3.9) and minutes averaged (24.2)
- Notched her fifth 20-point game with 23 points against Connecticut on Aug. 15 while also tying her career-high for assists (five)
- Set a new career-high for points after posting 28 (11-for-22) with three assists and four rebounds at San Antonio on Aug. 12
- Recorded 16 points, three assists and four rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field against New York on Aug. 11
