Tooker was one of three competitors to run the 5.2 mile course at under a five-minute pace, crossing the line in 25:50, just four seconds behind winner Colin Abert of Penn State. Kevin James finished fourth overall, one week after winning the Harry Lang Invitational, finishing in 26:14. Next, Syracuse will take a week off before returning to Boston for the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown for the first time since 2015. Last time at the meet, the Orange men took home the team crown, while the women finished second overall. The Syracuse men have finished in the top-two at the event each of the last-three times they've raced there. That meet will take place on Friday, Sept. 22.
