
Women’s Rowing Finishes Fall Season at Cornell Classic

Ithaca, N.Y. – Syracuse University's women's rowing team finished the fall season strong at the 6th Annual Cornell Autumn Classic on Saturday. The Orange put three fours in the top-5 and claimed the fastest time of the day in the varsity eights.
The Syracuse "A" four led by coxswain Rebecca Spraggins clocked a 15:01.4 overall time. They raced the 3000m portion in 11:47.2. Syracuse "B" was second with a total time of 15:19.6 while Syracuse "C" was fourth finishing in 15:33.6. Syracuse "E" and "D" finished fifth and eighth, respectively.
The Orange raced five eights in the second flight of the day with the varsity eight finishing first overall with a time of 13:41.9. 'Cuse finished in third, fourth and sixth while the novice eight placed eight.
In the first flight of eights Syracuse's novice eight placed fifth with a total time of 14:32.3
Saturday's headrace at Cornell concludes the fall season for Syracuse. The Orange begin their spring campaign on March 30 at the Doc Hosea Invitational.
