Syracuse, N.Y. – The 17th-ranked Syracuse women's rowing team is back on the water this weekend at Lake Monticello in Charlottesville, Va., to face some of the top teams in the nation. The Orange will line up with No. 7 Ohio State and Duke in the morning session and will race No. 6 Michigan and the Blue Devils a second time in the afternoon.
"Lake Monticello provides a great venue to test our early season speed against some of the top teams in the country at the ACC/B1G Dual," head coach Luke McGee said. "We are excited to take on this challenge and look forward to leaving it all on the race course tomorrow."
The Orange are coming off a second-place overall finish at the Doc Hosea Invitational last weekend. Syracuse beat Boston University to win the Kittel Cup for the eighth-straight year. 'Cuse also came home with the Orange Challenge Cup for defeating Northeastern and Penn. Both the first and second varsity eights placed second in their respective grand finals while the second varsity four won the petite final, and the third varsity eight won both their heat and grand final.
RACE SCHEDULE:
Syracuse is off from competition next weekend and will next race at the Clemson Invitational on April 19-20 on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C.
