SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 15/16 Syracuse will attempt to get its first ACC win this season against No. 5/5 North Carolina on Saturday, April 14. Game time in the Carrier Dome is set for noon. Admission and parking are free of charge.

ORANGE FINALLY RETURN HOME
Syracuse will play two of its final three regular-season games at home after playing seven of its last eight contests on the road. The Orange posted a record of 4-4 in those eight games. Overall, Syracuse is 8-6, which includes a 0-4 mark in league play.
WHO'S NEXT?
Syracuse has had a player score six goals in each of its last two games. Sophomore Emily Hawryschuk accomplished the feat against Loyola. Her sixth goal of the day was the game winner in overtime. Junior Nicole Levy also had six goals at Virginia Tech. Hawryschuk and Levy are the Orange's leading scorers this season. Hawryschuk has 48 points (40g, 8a), while Levy has 42 points (34g, 8a).
SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
North Carolina is coming off a 16-6 win against Louisville last weekend, which improved its record to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the ACC.
Katie Hoeg is North Carolina's leader in points with 48 (28g, 20a). Ela Hazar is right behind with 46 on 16 goals and a team-high 30 assists, while Marie McCool has 45 points on a team-leading 37 goals and eight assists. Elise Hennessey has started nine games in goal this year for the Tar Heels. She has an 11.79 goals-against average and a .396 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday will be the 12th meeting between these two ACC rivals. Syracuse leads the all-time series, 6-5, and is 3-1 when playing North Carolina at home. The last time the Orange and the Tar Heels met was in the 2017 ACC Tournament final where the Tar Heels posted an 18-11 victory.
UP NEXT…
Syracuse plays its final regular-season road game on Thursday, April 19 at No. 2/2 Boston College at 5 p.m. The Orange end the regular season at home on Sunday, April 22 against Louisville at 1 p.m.
