SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 15/11 Syracuse welcomes No. 1/1 Boston College to the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Feb. 16. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m. Admission and parking are free of charge.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse improved its record to 2-0 with a 15-5 victory against Binghamton on Tuesday. Senior Nicole Levy led Syracuse with three goals and four points. Syracuse's No. 2-ranked recruiting class also had a big night with Meaghan Tyrrell, Megan Carney and Sierra Cockerille scoring two goals each, and Sarah Cooper having three caused turnovers.

The Orange defense shined in the victory, allowing only 12 shots and forcing 24 turnovers. The Bearcats were unable to score until .5 seconds left in the first half. Senior Natalie Wallon led the team with four caused turnovers as 13 different players caused a turnover in the game.

'CUSE VS. NO. 1
Syracuse has faced the No. 1 team in the nation 25 times and has won two of those contests. The Orange's first win against the top-ranked team was a 14-13 double-overtime victory against Florida in the 2012 NCAA Tournament semifinal. Syracuse came back from a seven-goal deficit in the second half to advance to the national final for the first time in program history. Kayla Treanor scored seven goals to lead the Orange past No. 1 North Carolina, 12-9, in the Carrier Dome in 2014.

ORANGE IN ACC OPENERS
Syracuse is 4-1 all-time in its ACC opener since joining the league in 2014. Its only loss was a 14-13 setback last year at Virginia.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
No. 1 Boston College is 1-0 heading into Saturday's game after a 20-6 win over Boston University. Last season, the Eagles posted a 22-2 record and finished as national runner-up.

Returning for the Eagles are graduate student Kenzie Kent and seniors Sam Apuzzo, Dempsey Arsenault, Elizabeth Miller, and Lauren Daly, all of which were voted to the All-ACC Preseason Team. Apuzzo is the reigning Tewaaraton Award winner. Kent led the team with five goals and nine points in the win over Boston University.

Acacia Walker-Weinstein is her seventh season at the helm of the Eagles program. She earned the Northeast Region Coach of the Year award after guiding the Eagles to an undefeated regular season, which included the ACC regular-season title.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the 20th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Boston College. The Orange lead the series, 15-4. The two teams faced off last season in Newton, Mass. where the Eagles came away with a 13-12 victory after a last-second, game-winning goal from Apuzzo.
