SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 4/4 Syracuse faces its third top 15 team this season when it hosts No. 13/12 Loyola on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Opening Draw is set for 4 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Admission and parking are free.

Wednesday's game is the Orange's Pink Out Game. All fans are encouraged to wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse climbed to No. 4 in both the coaches and media rankings after its 15-14 overtime win against then No. 4/5 Northwestern. The win improved the Orange's record to 4-1 overall.

Syracuse led Northwestern for most of the game but a 5-0 run by the Wildcats gave them a 14-12 lead with 7:05 remaining. Freshman Sierra Cockerille was able to halt Northwestern's run by scoring a goal assisted by senior Nicole Levy with 5:18 left to play. Freshman Megan Carney tied the game up with 25 seconds left on the clock and junior Emily Hawryschuk was able to put the game away in OT with her fourth goal of the game.

Hawryschuk's five points against Northwestern along with three points against Coastal Carolina earned her ACC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Loyola is coming off a 15-12 win against then No. 5 Florida, improving its record to 1-1 overall. Both of Loyola's games this season have been decided by three goals or less.

Three Greyhounds were awarded Patriot League Honors this week. Sophomore Livy Rosenzweig was named Attacker of the Week after her four goals and five-point performance against Florida. Rosenzweig, along with Sam Fielder and Hannah Powers, lead the Greyhounds in points with seven. Senior Lindsey Ehrhardt was named Defender of the Week. She posted a career-high four ground balls and four caused turnovers against the Gators. Kady Glynn was named Goalkeeper of the Week after recording 11 saves. Glynn has a goals against average of 12.50 and a save percentage of .419.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday's game will be the 20th meeting between the two teams. Last season, Syracuse was able to beat Loyola in overtime, 12-11 in Baltimore. Hawryschuk had a career-high six goals and two assists, including the game winning goal in overtime. Asa Goldstock had double digit saves in the win. Syracuse leads the all-time series 13-6.
