Women’s Rowing Adds Weekend Races

The 19^th-ranked Syracuse Orange women's rowing team has added a pair of weekend events after last week's Clemson Invitational was canceled due to inclement weather. The Orange third varsity eight and second varsity four will race against Marist, Ithaca and Hamilton in Rome, N.Y., on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, the Orange will send the entire squad to race Cornell and Dartmouth in Ithaca, N.Y.

The Orange last raced March 30 at the ACC/B1G Dual hosted by Virginia in Lake Monticello, Va., where the varsity eight earned an impressive win over Duke. Earlier this week Syracuse's 1V8+ was ranked No. 2 behind Texas in Region 3 by the NCAA while the 2V8+ was ranked fifth. As a team, the Orange are fourth in the region behind Texas, Virginia and Duke.
