
Sixteen Named to CHA All-Academic Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y – The reigning College Hockey America champions continue to display excellence on and off the ice.
Sixteen women's hockey student-athletes earned spots on the 2018-19 College Hockey America All-Academic Team. It marks the sixth time in program history that the Orange have placed 12 or more student-athletes on the conference's All-Academic Team.
Brooke Avery (public relations), Amanda Bäckebo (communication & rhetorical studies), Ady Cohen (forensic science), Dakota Derrer (medicolegal death investigation), Jessica DiGirolamo (communication & rhetorical studies), Lindsay Eastwood (communication & rhetorical studies), Anonda Hoppner (communication & rhetorical studies), Marielle McHale (communication & rhetorical studies), Abby Moloughney (forensic science), Allie Munroe (social work), Allie Olnowich (sport management), Savannah Rennie (sociology), Kelli Rowswell (physical education), Kristen Siermachesky (sport management), Sarah Stuehr (earth sciences) and Maddi Welch (forensic science) were honored by the conference for their academic excellence during the season.
To qualify for the CHA All-Academic Team, student-athletes must post a 3.0 GPA or better in all academic semesters in which the team was actively competing.

In total, 104 student-athletes were named to CHA All-Academic Team. Each team in the conference – Robert Morris (19), Mercyhurst (17), Penn State (17), RIT (17), Lindenwood (16) and Syracuse (16) – has double-digit representatives.
