
Orange Hit the Road to Boston for Coast-to-Coast Battle

Orange men go for third straight Coast-To-Coast victory
Both team run their first big race of the season when the Orange head up to Boston this weekend to compete in the Coast-to-coast Battle in Beantown.
MEET INFO:
- Action begins at 3 p.m. with the women's 5k.
- The Men's 8k will immediately follow at 3:30 p.m.
- There is also an open race, which begins at 4:15

ABOUT THE COAST-TO-COAST BATTLE:
- Syracuse will face two nationally ranked teams on the men's side, third-ranked Washington and No. 21 Arkansas.
- Women will also face two nationally ranked teams, fifth-ranked Arkansas and No. 25 Dartmouth.
- Both teams will face ACC competition this weekend as well. Boston College and Georgia Tech are sending both their men's and women's programs, while the Wake Forest women will also compete.
LAST TIME OUT:
- The men repeated as champions of the Harry Lang Invitational with a score of 31 points, while the women grabbed second place with a score of 53
- Noah Beveridge, Stephen Schulz, Nathan Lawler and Matthew Scrape finished second through fifth
- Keith McAteer finished 17th to round out the scoring.
- Justus Holden-Betts finished second while Kelsey Potts, Olivia Elston and Emma Wilson placed eighth through 10th.
- Syracuse took home 3 out of 4 ACC of the Week honors from their performances at the meet. Holden-Betts and Matthew Dragon took home ACC Freshman of the Week honors while Beveridge earned ACC Men's Performer of the Week.
LAST YEAR IN BOSTON:
- The men's team looks to continue its tradition of strong running at this meet, looking for their third straight title.
- The men return second place finisher Aidan Tooker and top-ten finishers Kevin James and Joe Dragon.
- The women's team looks to improve on their 9th place finish last year with two returning runners Madeline Davidson posting a top-20 finish and Rachel Bonner posting a 22nd place finish at last year's meet.
RANKING THE ORANGE:
- The men's team ranks 13th in the national poll.
- The women are also ranked fifth in the NCAA Northeast Regional rankings.
