It's no surprise the Syracuse women's basketball team has earned another preseason top-25 ranking. Syracuse was picked as the #24 team entering the 2020-21 season by Lindy's Sports in the magazine's preseason basketball issue.
Tiana Mangakahia, two-time All-ACC First Team selection, is returning to the hardwood after missing the 2019-20 season due to her battle with breast cancer. Joining Mangakahia in the backcourt is Kiara Lewis (17.6 ppg), who was a All-ACC First Team selection in 2019-20.
Syracuse returns three other starters in Amaya Finklea-Guity (50.1% FGM in 65 games), Digna Strautmane (8.7 ppg), and Emily Engstler (9.0 ppg). Head Coach Quentin Hillsman improved the team's depth this offseason with the No. 4 recruiting class in the country that includes two top-15 players.
Syracuse has made seven-straight NCAA Tournaments and reached the NCAA title game for the first time in program history in 2016.
