Syracuse returns to the ice this weekend with a series at Penn State. The two games will be played on Saturday, Dec. 5th at 2 pm and Sunday, Dec. 6th at 2 pm at the Pegula Ice Arena. Syracuse (1-2-0 overall, 1-0-0 College Hockey America) leads the series against the Nittany Lions 26-2-6 and has an 8-1-3 record against Penn State (2-0-0, 2-0-0) since the current Orange seniors joined the program in 2017-18.

Inside the Syracuse-Penn State Series
Senior Jessica DiGirolamo has the best offensive output against Penn State of any player on the Syracuse roster. The captain has seven points (3G-4A) in her 12 games against the Nittany Lions. Seniors Emma Polaski and Victoria Klimek are next with five points each. Polaski has two goals and three assists while Klimek has a team-best four goals against PSU.

Orange Statistical Leaders in 2020-21
Senior Emma Polaski and freshman Rayla Clemons lead the Orange in goals scored with two each, while junior Lauren Bellefontaine has a team-high three assists. Polaski recorded her fifth career three-point game against RIT (2G-1A). Clemons has scored at least one point in all three games of her Syracuse career, including two in her collegiate debut against Colgate, becoming just the second player in Syracuse history to accomplish that feat. She scored on the very first shift of her college career

Goalie Allison Small has 74 saves this season and ranks sixth on the Orange career saves record list with 679 in 27 games.

The 50-Point Club
Junior Abby Moloughney became the third member of the current Syracuse roster to join the 50-Point Club with her three points (1G-2A) against RIT. She has exactly 50 points (21G-29A) in 77 games at Syracuse. Polaski (57 pts– 28G-29A) and DiGirolamo (55 points – 17G-38A) are also in the 50-Point Club. Junior Lauren Bellefontaine (42 pts – 17G-25A) and senior Victoria Klimek (39 pts – 22G-17A) are next in line for the 50-Point club.

2020-21 Team Captains
Syracuse veterans Kristen Siermachesky, Jessica DiGirolamo and Emma Polaski are the 2020-21 team captains. Siermachesky, who was an alternate captain last season, is a co-captain alongside DiGirolamo, and Polaski wears the "A" as an alternate captain.
