SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 4/4 Syracuse faces its first ranked opponent of the season when it hosts No. 12/12 Stony Brook on Monday, Feb. 10. Opening draw in the Carrier Dome is set for 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free on One Love Awareness Day.

The game will be streamed on ACC Network Extra and the Watch ESPN app. Fans can also listen to the live action on WJPZ 89.1 FM in the Syracuse area.

ORANGE OFF AND RUNNING
Syracuse jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 21-6 victory against Canisius in the season opener on Friday. Senior Emily Hawryschuk and sophomore Megan Carney led the way with eight points each. Hawryschuk scored a career-best seven goals, while Carney tied her career high with five assists.

Defensively, redshirt junior Kerry Defliese picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers. In addition, she posted three draw controls.

GOLDSTOCK CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Senior goalkeeper Asa Goldstock is climbing the Syracuse all-time record lists. She made two saves against Canisius, giving her 475 in her career. That total ties her for second place in career saves for the 'Cuse with Carla Gigon (2000-03). Liz Hogan (2008-11) is the all-time leader with 660 saves.

Monday's game is the season opener for Stony Brook. The Seawolves posted a 16-5 record last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Ally Kennedy is Stony Brook's top returner in 2020. She earned a spot on the IWLCA All-America First Team last season after recording 100 points on 84 goals and 16 assists.

SERIES HISTORY
Monday's game marks the third meeting between Syracuse and Stony Brook but the first during the regular season. The squads last played in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The Seawolves led at halftime but the Orange used a 4-0 scoring run in the second half to record a 7-6 victory.

Syracuse will host a pair of home games next weekend in the Dome. The Orange face UAlbany on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. before taking on Binghamton on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Admission and parking for both games are free.
